About
The Paddocks is a contemporary art gallery established in 2024. We are committed to showcasing local and international artists and providing a nurturing space for artistic and curatorial practices.
Nestled between Mount Pelion and the sea, in the city of Volos, The Paddocks was established with the vision of opening up dynamic artistic practices to a broader audience, while diversifying and cultivating the grounds for art outside the established centres. Parallel to the exhibitions programme, The Paddocks operates as a platform for research and open dialogue, hosting a series of talks, workshops, and events. Our mission is to foster connections and a culture of care among artists, curators, collectors, and the wider community.
Our Space
Located in the heart of the city, The Paddocks occupies the first floor of a mid-century building constructed in 1958. Originally built as a family home, it later served as a gambling den, a language school, and a notary office. Today, it stands as a contemporary art space, blending its storied past with a commitment to artistic development and engagement.
Residency Programme
In addition to our gallery, The Paddocks proudly hosts a residency programme for artists.
