Cyrus Mahboubian

In Residence: 20 October – 2 November 2025

Cyrus Mahboubian (b. 1986, London, UK) is a visual artist working with analogue photography, particularly Polaroid. His practice explores the human condition in an era increasingly shaped by digital technology, focusing on our relationship with nature and time.

Landscape and nature are central to Mahboubian’s work. His process is guided by wanderings through the countryside, where observation becomes an act of creative reflection.

Cyrus lives and works between London and Oxfordshire. Alongside his artistic practice, he is co-director of Maison Pan, an artist-run organisation based in London. His first book, VISCERA, was published in 2019. He has also led talks and workshops at institutions including Tate Britain and The Photographers’ Gallery.

Recent exhibitions include: PHotoESPAÑA Festival, Madrid (2025); The Photographers’ Gallery (2024); Photo London at Somerset House (2024); Pitt Rivers Museum, University of Oxford (2019); and Fotografia Europea Festival, Italy (2016).
