Luke Alex Atkinson

Luke Alex Atkinson (b. 1985, St. John, NB, Canada) makes paintings that engage with memory, dreams, and lived experience. Working with a contemporary sensibility, grounded in the history of art, he creates a complete, unified vision that speaks to today. 

Luke lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. He holds a BFA from Winthrop University and an MFA from Louisiana State University. He also studied at the New York Academy of Art, Art Students League of New York, Grand Central Atelier, and Russian Academy of Arts. 

Recent group and solo shows include: Rat Trap (Bogotá), The Ogden Museum (New Orleans), Homme (DC), Susan Eley Fine Art (NYC), Edit Gallery (Cyprus), Auxier Kline (NYC), and 68 Jay Street (Brooklyn).
